The significance of Fallopian Tubes & What are yours of conceiving in case blocked?

Biology or reproductive science used to be my favorite subject and sincerely dreamt of becoming a doctor, but I don’t know where all those dreams wandered. Well, I write this topic with pleasure after acquiring necessary knowledge and facts about fertility, infertility, and reproduction much as am not a doctor.

What are Fallopian Tubes?

Have you ever questioned yourself as to why some women fail to get pregnant?, well, this could be one of the answers “Blocked Fallopian Tubes”. The Fallopian tubes are two thinning tubes that run from the ovaries to the uterus once you take a look at the woman’s reproductive system.

The actual fact about Fallopian tubes is that you can never naturally get pregnant once they are damaged, blocked or removed. Also known as Oviducts, these two tubes act as a passage of the egg once released from the ovaries.

In fact, fertilization occurs in the Fallopian tubes after which the egg slopes to the uterine for implantation. For that matter, a woman will require blocked Fallopian tube treatment in India in case the tubes are in any way affected.

What causes a blockage or damage in the Fallopian tubes?

Various cases can damage a woman’s Fallopian tubes silently and if not urgently detected, they increase one’s chances of infertility. The commonest causes of blocked Fallopian tubes are;

  • A PID

A pelvic Inflammatory Disease is one of the major causes of a blockage in the Fallopian tubes. PIDs are mostly caused by STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Even a history of a PID increases one’s chances of suffering from Blocked Fallopian tubes.

  • A previous Pelvic Infection

A pelvic infection can be caused by a surgery where no necessary treatment is taken. The severity of the issue will increase in case the infection spreads to the uterus and the surrounding regions

Other causes include;

  • A previous ectopic pregnancy

  • Hydrosalpinx

One’s chances of conceiving with Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Certain situations have no definite or general answers and in this case, it varies from one woman to another.

One’s conception chances are really diminished in case of severity and late medication.

A woman will have to get a diagnostic procedure from a gynecologist or a fertility expert after which the right treatment is provided.

However, a woman can still naturally conceive in case she has one normal or healthy Fallopian tube, but another’s chances are shattered in case two Fallopian tubes are damaged.

Possible treatment

Treatment of Blocked Fallopian tubes is performed in a number of ways at the leading IVF centre in India. The Following are treatment options.

  • Laparoscopic procedures

These are minimally invasive surgeries in which a surgeon reaches the Fallopian tubes through a tiny incision made in the abdominal region. The blocked Fallopian tubes are accessed with the help of a camera that directs a surgeon where the problem is…..

  • Nonsurgical treatment

Another way of correcting blocked Fallopian tubes is done in the same way like a pap smear. A saline solution is splashed to the Fallopian tubes and once it comes back, that means that the tube is normal and when it fails, that means the tube is damaged or blocked.

  • Assisted fertilization

These include IVF, ICSI or surrogacy where a woman’s eggs are retrieved and combined with the male’s sperm in the laboratory to form an embryo. The best embryo is then transferred back to the woman’s uterus for development.

  • Physical exercises

Home remedies like physical exercises can help you correct the tubes. Yoga, running and gyming are some of the ways to maintain the tube’s health.
