WHAT EXACTLY IS MALE INFERTILITY?

When owing to any of the factors, the male is not able to provide healthy sperms in the vagina, then it is considered as male infertility. Some infertility problems can be treated with medications or therapies, while some others can be treated with a surgical procedure (either minimally invasive or open). In this category, we include the people who are bothered by the irreversible infertility problem. This means that their infertility problem is permanent and that cannot be treated.

WHAT CAUSES MALE INFERTILITY?

VARICOCELES:

Varicoceles problem is related to the veins which are supposed to empty the testicles. When a male suffers from this problem, then he experiences strokes of inflammation.

INFECTIONS:

If by any means, some infections enter the body, then it can affect various reproductive organs in many ways. The most commonly encountered infections are known as Sexually transmitted infections.

RETROGRADE:

When the couple has completed the intercourse act, but the male partner is not able to ejaculate. The ejaculation may get back to where it has come from. This issue is known as retrograde ejaculation.

CANCEROUS TUMOURS:

It is found the cancerous tumours are the cause of infertility in 1 in 10 males. These tours can be present in any organ of the reproductive system. It could be either the scrotum, testicles or even the penis.

HORMONAL IMBALANCE:

Some hormones are supposed to excite the male to perform an intercourse act. If by owing to the imbalance in these hormonal levels, the male is not getting excited or is not able to ejaculate, then it requires hormonal therapy.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO THEN?

In the case of the couples who are below 30, they should wait for 1 to 1.5 years before visiting the fertility specialists and relying on ART assisted treatments. But in the case of the couples who have already reached their advanced marital age, they should wait for at least 6 months before seeing a fertility specialist.
