Now giving a complete overview about Enhanced IVM

Enhanced IVM

There are number of techniques that have been developed for the treatment of infertility. However, one of them is IVM i.e. In Vitro Maturation. This technique is much less expensive than the traditional IVF or In Vitro Fertilization technique. Moreover, it is simpler and safer than IVF. Basically, in this method, small unripe eggs are harvested from the uterus of women. Then these eggs are matured in hormones it the laboratory before the process to create an embryo. Then as in the IVF, fertilized eggs are transferred into uterus of women.

Now you might be thinking that how IVM is different from IVF?

The main significant difference is that in case of IVM the immature or unripe eggs are taken from the uterus of women and then these eggs are allowed to mature in a laboratory. On the other hand, in case of IVF, the eggs are forced to mature inside the uterus through a process called ovulation induction.

In IVF process, women have to undergo through a series of hormone injections which can be painful and also can lead to some side effects. Also this process may require large number of ultrasounds and many blood tests. But in case of IVM, the testing part gets totally eliminated and there is no need of blood tests
