A Case Study of Fertility Yoga

According to a study conducted by the Mind/Body Medical Institute (MBMI), 185 women who had previously failed to conceive in the past two years were selected and divided into three groups. The first group was placed under the Mind and Body training program, the second under a support group, while the third was the test group. Interestingly, these were the conception percentages;

  • Mind & Body Program Group- 55%

  • Support Group- 54%

  • Control Group- 20%

In addition, women who were placed under the mind and body training program reported drastic positive psychological changes in the terms of reduced stress and lower cases of depression compared to other women in other groups

Other studies based on the same approach confirmed that 42% of the women who had effectively completed the program conceived after trying for more than 3 years.

The studies also indicate that these exercises help in reducing stress and improving the mental state of women struggling with infertility.

Also, Yoga fertility approaches help in normalizing hormonal balances in a woman since they improve the endocrine function. Different postures are recommended for efficacy
